What is Viscous Coupling?VC is southeast Michigan's mixed (coed) club ultimate team. We play hard, have fun, and are one of the most Spirited teams we know. We play in the club season, starting practice in April and finishing with the Club Series in October. We practice several times a week and play about ten weekend-long tournaments during the season. Last year we finished 9th in the Region, and this year intend to do better! Oh, and a viscous coupling is a car part. Who can play with VC?Anyone who is committed to playing club-level, mixed ultimate is welcome to join VC. Rather than making cuts to our practice roster, we manage play-time at tournaments based on how players are practicing. When do you practice?See the schedule page. Where do you practice?Wednesday, April 27 will be the last practice held at Riverside park. Subsequently, we will be holding all practices at Lillie park. Any changes to the schedule will be published here. Riverside park is located near the intersection of Fuller St and Maiden Ln. Here are some maps for your convenience: Google Yahoo MapQuest To reach Lillie park, take Platt Road south or Ellsworth Road east until they intersect. Then, continue south on Platt for just a bit and Lillie is on your left. Take the second entrance to the park. If you get to Platt Lane, you've gone too far. Here are some maps: Google Yahoo MapQuest For more information, or if you have questions about our recruiting practices or anything else, please contact Gavin LaRose. Last updated: May 2nd, 2005 |
