Who We Are

First off, a "Viscous Coupling" is a car part. Really. We are a competitive, mixed (co-ed) club ultimate team located in Ann Arbor, Michigan (near Detroit, "motor city"--hence the car part!).

Our goal is to play really good mixed ultimate, which means playing well as a team and developing the skills of all players on the team.

Mixed ultimate has unique challenges and rewards: it has a different pace than open or women's, requires a different type of strategic play, and we think it's all the more fun. VC plays real mixed ultimate, where both women and men are essential to the team's success, and our focus is on playing really good, serious team ultimate. We're a team that loves playing ultimate, wants to play better, and likes playing together.
